Asia Pacific lead and Managing Director, Luke Furler, has been appointed to liquidator of AAX Asia Private Limited and AAX Singapore Private Limited by the Singapore High Court
This appointment follows Chapter 15 recognition at the US bankruptcy court for the southern district of Florida of Foreign Main Proceedings in the Cayman Islands and Singapore by Quantuma’s Angela Barkhouse, Kim Leck, and Luke Furler as the Foreign Representatives of Atom Holdings, and Angela Barkhouse and Kim Leck being appointed joint official liquidators (“JOLs”) of Atom Holdings in July 2023.
Atom is the latest high-profile cryptocurrency case Quantuma has been engaged on. Quantuma is also engaged on several other cypto related matters, including Emergent Fidelity Technologies Ltd (Antigua) and Eqonex Limited (Singapore, USA).
